“Genuine Support. Meaningful Respect. Local Connection”

“It all began with a vision… shaped by over two decades of dedication in the Mental Health and Disability sector. Working in a role which was integral in the implementation of the NDIS rollout, I recognised a distinct need for ethical, person-centred support grounded in local understanding. So I set out to create something meaningful. A service founded on respect, guided by integrity, and committed to real connection. Today, USS has an amazing dedicated team of people who share the same values and commitment and we walk alongside participants, honouring choice and building genuine pathways of care in our local community.”

OUR VALUES

INTEGRITY: The Heart of Genuine Support

Integrity means doing the right thing—even when no one’s watching. It’s about honesty, reliability, and staying true to our word. In the context of NDIS supports, integrity ensures that participants receive care that is ethical, respectful, and transparent. It’s the promise that every decision made puts the person first, safeguarding their rights, dignity, and voice.

For our service, integrity is more than a principle; it’s the foundation. It shows up in how we:

  • Build trust through clear communication and consistent support

  • Respect the participant’s choice and control over their NDIS plan

  • Advocate for fair outcomes while maintaining professionalism and empathy

  • Uphold safeguarding measures to ensure a safe and high-quality service

When integrity guides the way, participants don’t just get support, they gain a service who truly stands by them

Respect: Honouring the Individual in Every Interaction

Respect means recognising each person’s dignity, autonomy, and lived experience. In the context of NDIS supports, it's about genuinely listening to participants, valuing their choices, and upholding their right to direct their own care.

At our service, respect is not just a word, it’s the way we:

  • Support choice and control in every aspect of a participant’s plan

  • Acknowledge cultural, personal, and individual differences with genuine understanding

  • Work collaboratively with families, carers, and other providers to ensure holistic and inclusive care

  • Build relationships that empower—not just assist—through mutual understanding

When respect is central, support becomes more than a service; it becomes a shared journey.

Connection: Strength in Local Relationships

Connection is more than just coordination—it’s about belonging, understanding, and meaningful partnerships. In NDIS supports, local connection ensures that participants aren’t navigating services in isolation. Instead, they’re supported by people who know their community, culture, and resources. For NDIS participants, strong local connections open doors to personalised care, trusted relationships, and greater choice.

For USS, connection means:

  • Promoting collaboration, with carers, providers, and community partners to offer well-rounded, localised support

  • Promoting choice by offering pathways to diverse options close to home

  • Linking participants to nearby and local services that reflect their needs and values

  • Being present—listening, learning, and responding to the needs of our community

Because when connection is local and intentional, NDIS support becomes more empowering, inclusive, and truly responsive.
